I’m beyond excited to share tips from my favorite beauty queen, Madison LeCroy. Not only is she a personal friend, but she also makes many of our brides look stunning on their wedding days. We asked Madison for some of her top beauty tips for your wedding. And, many apply beyond the big day.
What are some beauty or make up products trending right now that you actually like and want to stick around?
“Currently trending are cream products (ex. cream blush or highlighter). I am loving how the cream products are giving my brides the dewy effect on their wedding day… Pro Tip: Add a cream highlighter to your collar bones for that extra glow.”
When should one do a trial run? Should it be in the same season or so as the wedding, so that coloring will be similar?
“I recommend scheduling 2 trial runs with your hair and makeup team… The first trial to meet and make sure it is a good fit.. and the second trial once you have the wedding dress and have a better idea of what you want… alot of my brides schedule the second trial for their bridal portraits”
And, Madison says to always ask your stylist how you should show up on the wedding day. For example… depending on your hair type – you may need to show up with your hair clean vs one day dirty. Everyone is different!
When it comes to false eyelashes, go big or just enhance? Are they here to stay?
“I would say going very subtle with the lashes is the safest bet for your wedding day hair and makeup. I feel like sometimes lashes can take away from the natural beauty… when instead we are trying to enhance your natural beauty… keeping the makeup as natural as possible will never go out of style!”
If, you don’t have an onsite stylist, what is the top essential you should have a bridesmaid have on hand for you?
“Number 1… even if you have a makeup artist… Always purchase your own lipstick to keep… This way you re apply throughout the evening!”
Finally, we all tend to look our best with a little bit of tan. But, we worry about bronzers and creams rubbing off on the white dress. So, what are the best alternatives?
“Of course having a natural tan is the way to go… I always choose having a natural tan over a spray tan any day.”
Thank you Madison! And, thank you for continuing to share your joy of making others feel great about themselves!
