We have some very fashionable mothers and clients… I just love that mothers of the bride finally feel like they get to be queen for the day along with the bride (it’s not overshadowing for the mothers to look fab too, it just compliments the bride). I just wanted to share all

This statement gown from Monique Lhuillier is a perfect mother of the bride look. Ice blue with navy tulle and beaded florals, it’s delicate and gorgeous at the same time.

For this wedding where the bridesmaids wore navy gowns, a couture version for the mother of the bride was a lovely way to go. This style is beyond flattering and navy is just so classic and perfect for mothers of the bride where black can sometimes be discouraged.

This Rosie Assoumin ensemble was truly fabulous. For our clients’ wedding which was shoes of creams with fresh greenery accents, a spring green gown could not have been more perfect… and, it had a removable cape for dancing!

I personally love sleeves on a wedding dress- when I married many moons ago, I had cap sleeves on my classic Amsale gown… But, I’m beyond thrilled to see them making a comeback with some of my brides.  Today, we are sharing some of our pretty favorites that may inspire some of you while dress shopping… Love the lace neckline that is carried down into sleeves on this Oscar de le Renta gown.

Here, Monique Lhuillier incorporates different but complimentary lace patterns on the  high neckline and full sleeves on this ensemble.

Here, our bride wore a Chantilly-lace gown and jacket, custom-designed by Nardos Imam. She took the lace-overlay jacket off for dinner and the first dances. And the lace tradition for a wedding day didn’t stop there…a lace hankie made from her maternal grandmother’s wedding gown was pinned under the bottom of her gown to serve as the “something old” .

This bride had simple sleeves added to her Amsale gown for a more formal feel for her formal at home wedding in Charleston, SC.
