2020 has been a year. And, now many of you may be trying to envision how to host for the holidays, and host safely. Obviously, keeping it small seems the way to go this year. So, that may mean you can do a little extra. One of our main ways to celebrate on Thanksgiving is actually breakfast. We have a big meal that am, watch the parade or football, and then ready ourselves for the formal supper later. Here, we share a few ideas that you can use to serve a fun and easy breakfast, and maintain your status as the hostess with the mostest.
First, I like to start with a Bloody Mary’s and Biscuits. So, set out your favorite mixers and garnishes and let guests build their own bloodys. You can display lots of individual utensils or picks so that people aren’t putting their hands everywhere. Setting out other hors d’oeuvres type items like, fruit, veggies, (I even like Bacon in my bloodys) here can also double as a buffet- make your drink and plate in one place. This can certainly be a light meal in anticipation of stuffing face later.
A great item that we like to have in the freezer to pull out are biscuits, and some of our favorite are Callie’s Charleston Biscuits… You can see more of us making biscuits in the kitchen with Carey Morrie here. A great item to include on the buffet, and works with everything.
Of course for the big meal later, if weather and your space permits, setting up the table outside can help guests feel more comfortable in the time of Covid. However your holidays look this year, we hope you are safe and healthy. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
