How do you typically get yourself inspired and organized when planning a party? Or, maybe renovating or redecorating a room in your home? Is Pinterest still your go to spot? We get asked a lot on how our design process works. And, yes, we like to collaborate with our clients using Pinterest boards, but sometimes it helps me to just dive in and make an old school inspiration board. This bride came to us wanting a very neutral color palette and lots of elements derived from nature. Such as, woven plant fibers, fresh greenery, but with a splash of modern. So, above is an inspiration board I put together to help create linens, the lounge design, and some of the tabletop elements.
And, here are just a few of the finished elements based on the inspiration. Dinner tables had woven jute placemats atop white washed farm tables. Also, the Estelle colored glass coups offer a modern touch. Then, in the after dinner lounge, the long bar is covered in jute carpeting we cut to fit. And, the modern hint here is the neon sign we had made featuring the couple’s new last name.
