For many of us, traveling is still not an option. So, today, we are going to travel through our wedding designs. Many of our clients are inspired by their travels, or places they have lived. And, they ask us to include that as part of the overall wedding inspiration. Above, a fall wedding is full of French inspiration. Guests enjoy a cheese course presented under glass cloches. And, fresh Kumquats are tied to linen napkins with twine for pretty details.
For these clients, who lived in Italy for years, their love for all things Italian really came through on the wedding day. The escort card table, features fresh clay potted herbs with hand written copper tags. And, the table scape has a vibe of just gathered from the garden. With potted herbs, small bouquets, and bowls of fresh lemons. The place cards are fresh loaves of bread tied with vellum and accented with olive branches. Also, the cocktail hour bar features a printed scene from an Italian village.
Even the printed items are full of Italian flair. A lovely olive print lines the envelopes, for example.
Our next wedding offers up Safari inspiration. Elephant topiaries line the lawn as guests arrive. And, our bride had an oversized giraffe she wanted featured. He gets a fresh coat of gold paint to match the party. And, then, is positioned by the bar to overlook the dance floor.
This wedding also features decorative horns and miniature animals for an over the top dessert display. And, the perfect photo booth background is a zebra stripe.
Here, we travel back to France. This wedding (actually in Newport, RI) has many French influences. The escort card table, for example. Made to look like a French market cart, toile paper cones are filled with fresh lavender. Then, for a Southern gal and Frenchman’s wedding, the perfect hashtag becomes #ouiouiyall.
Here, oversized silk Chinese lanterns provide ambient lighting for a wedding with Asian flair.
This wedding actually took us to Jamaica. And, with the weather we have been having lately, I just wanted to be transported back here. The Round Hill Resort is full of traditional British charm and hospitality. Our guests celebrate with a beach party the first night. And, then, a ceremony overlooking the ocean.
Here’s to daydreaming of destination weddings, and dream honeymoons ahead.
