We are still riding high on our rehearsal dinner event just finished in Italy. So, today is a perfect day to share some of our past favorite welcome events. Our clients come to us for fabulous weddings. But, many also come to us to plan all of the other events throughout the weekend. Plus, more fun outfits, right?
Welcome parties in addition to rehearsal dinners are still going strong. Pre parties are a great way for couples to get to visit with guests before the wedding, when you are being pulled in so many directions. And, It’s also a way to incorporate some of your fun ideas or traditions that may not fit into the wedding plans.
One thing to consider if including everyone in the rehearsal dinner is out of the budget, is a welcome party. So, having just the immediate family and wedding party for dinner, but following it with a party with dessert and cocktails for everyone is a great solution.
For this couple’s weekend in Charleston, an in town city style party is a compliment to their riverside tented wedding. After a smaller dinner at the Gibbes Museum of Art, our couple party with all of their guests under a tent in the courtyard onsite.

Guests enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and dessert along with cocktails. Also, an “after dinner” lounge and live music leave guests on a high note for the next day.
