Pretty Paper Pieces

Looking back on all of last year’s amazing weddings, we can’t overlook all of the pretty paper pieces from Lettered Olive. We saw lots of graphics, patterns, and color combinations. Cute and creative ways to describe parties to guests was also a standout for the year. Even the more understated or traditional leaning pieces show new depth in their designs.

Often, our clients are hosting many events over the course of the weekend, so it becomes more of a compilation than one event. So, having them flow together in one seamless package separate from the invitation is important. We call these a party packet. It usually includes invites to the welcome party, rehearsal dinner, any lunches and brunches, and then one reply card for guests to indicate which of these they will attend. And, we usually take an element or two from the save the date or invitation design so that it compliments.

Of course, you want all of the details to flow together like we do. Here, the tags and printed labels all hint back to the party packet. And, menu cards also carry the same theme on the actual wedding day.

Another design element that offered wow moments for guests last year, are packaging pieces. Here, a die cut filigree design and wax stamp key made major waves… And, the filigree comes back later at the wedding in the cake design, which was spectacular! See here.

Again, just a different take on tradition with wording, playing with shapes and patterns, etc can sometimes be all you need!

One of the most fun things we have been offering clients recently are our dressing tags. Guests receive a tag relating to each of the wedding events that they hang with the ensemble selected for that event. Making unpacking, getting organized, and dressed and ready a breeze!
