Welcome to the Weekend

We have seen the requests for wedding welcome gifts grow and evolve over the years. But, they always stay creative, customized, and their contents crave worthy. For a spring Southern soiree, woven picnic baskets contained all of the families favorites and staples. We always like to include locally made items when possible. Here, a bloody mary mix, boiled peanuts, and Charleston benne seed wafers are also local favorites. And, since a family friend makes the best cheese biscuits (which we often include our baskets), those had to be included. Anne’s Charleston Cheese biscuits can be found here.

For this wedding, beachside in Rhode Island, items guests could use but maybe didn’t pack were essential. Great canvas beach bags hold sunscreen, facial mists, and snacks perfect for a beach day.

Throughout the course of planning, we get to know our clients so well, when it comes time to conceptualize the welcome gift we can really personalize it. Here, the couple’s pup is perfectly featured on water bottles, hand sanitizers, and sunscreen (again, a beachside wedding). And, since the couple is from Dallas, a curated Texas cocktail kit unites home and here. Also, the bride has been known forever for signature including her handwritten smiley face, so of course cups for the cocktails feature this tidbit. Finally, the father’s most favorite totable cooler bag made the perfect take home for guests.

For our couple from Boston, marrying here in Charleston, an all custom Lowcountry bag offered a gracious Southern welcome.

Sometimes, keeping it simple is the way to go. With a beautifully designed weekend event booklet, just a few little treats were all guests needed.
