Rustic Rehearsal Dinner

We are back from another amazing Troutbeck weekend. So, that got me thinking about the last amazing rehearsal dinner we did at this location. And, had to share. Jose Villa was with us all weekend to capture all of the gorgeous imagery.

We worked with Heirloom Fire catering out of the Berkshires.  The food they deliver is not only amazing, but, their process and aesthetic adds such a unique experience to the event.

Their entire cooking set up allows guests the chance to watch and be part of the experience.  It’s like a super chic campfire. For instance, the proteins are grilled or smoked onsite, carved, and served up family style. And, all of their presentations include foraged greenery.

Being from a location with so much focus on seafood, the most beautiful red snapper was grilled and filleted on site. Because of their set up, many of the guests enjoy speaking to the chefs about the process.

These tomatoes rival some of our most beautiful ones in the South… pretty as a picture.

Another favorite, blueberry buckle, is grilled in cast iron skillets and served family style.

In lieu of individual cards, Lettered Olive creates a watercolor of the tables. Here, guests find their names placed at the corresponding seats.

Wooden farm tables soften with linen table runners, collections of Italian terra cotta pots filled with various herbs, and curated wooden pedestals for the family style platters.

Lettered Olive prints the evening’s menu on cotton napkins. Then, they are finished with fresh rosemary.  Leather drink coasters imprinted with guests’ names, act as place cards.  Dreamy…

A good time is had by all..

Everyone loved this delicate pour over coffee station. Heirloom fire has such an eye for thoughtful detail, it was fun to design and coordinate an experience for our clients and guests.

After dinner, other wedding guests join the intimate friends and family crowd for a Welcome Party under a sailcloth tent on the adjacent lawn. A modern jazz band from Elan Artists, more fun late night food, and desserts are all that’s needed for a perfect party.

Of course, s’mores are always a big hit!
