A Historic Gala

We recently helped celebrate with Historic Charleston and all of the conservation work they do by Co-Chairing and designing their 75th Anniversary Gala.

Photos by Taylor Jordan Photography.

The Gala took place at the Nathaniel Russell house, and in it’s garden. Events are not typically held here, so this was a special event indeed. The party started with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres by Cru Catering inside.

Afterwards, dinner follows in the garden.

We are so fortunate in that our weather in the late fall really acts more as an Indian Summer… But, not too hot for a clear top tent. This was key to feeling like you were really having dinner in a glorious Charleston garden.

And, dancing took place in a lounge hidden from guests until after dinner.

Dinner details include a gift of blue Canton porcelain, which originally came over from China on one of Nathaniel Russell’s ships.

Pretty fall color and flavors made for a gorgeous garden evening.

After a presentation and video from HCF’s President, Winslow Hastie, guest danced the night away to one of our favorite bands, Simply Irresistible.
