Seaside Soirees

It’s officially summer, so what better way to celebrate other than sharing some of our favorite seaside soirees. We are so lucky to have so many locations that make partying water side easy, but let’s chat about some of our other favorites. Above, with a formal tented wedding planned for the next day, a BBQ rehearsal dinner on the beach is a must when at Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI.

Another favorite is a casual beach welcome party at Round Hill, Jamaica. Lounging on the beach with local food and an amazing sunset is something so magical for guests who have traveled so far.

And, the wedding itself doesn’t disappoint. Following a ceremony overlooking the beach, guests mingle and enjoy cocktail hour on the sweeping lawn. Lots of fun local touches include a Red Strip and coconut cocktail station, one of the hotel’s signatures. Then, dinner on the lawn under the stars with a tropical breeze keeps guests comfortable and the bugs away!

Wedding welcome gifts for beach weddings can be some of the best to design. Past the actual beach bag, we typically include variations of all of the goodies it takes to enjoy a day at the beach. Towels, water bottles, snacks, maybe a local magazine, and of course a remedy kit with sunscreen, facial mist, etc.

In Montauk, NY, every aspect of the wedding capitalizes on location. Even though the ceremony is on a tented rooftop, the sides feature fabric draping that opens for the breeze to float through. Cocktail hour offers sweeping views of the ocean. But, dinner and dancing overlooking the beach but in one of our luxurious tents, has guests enjoying all the unexpected comforts of an indoor hotel space.

One of our favorite spots to design and create around is the New York Yacht Club in Newport, RI. There was never a point in the evening when the view wasn’t breathtaking. Of course, having perfect weather helps tremendously. But, don’t fret if you don’t, and ALWAYS have a rain plan, that way you won’t have to use it!
