Wedding Ins and Outs 2024

Kicking off the new year with all of the wedding ins and outs of 2024. One that we are big fans of are the greenhouse tents. They are gaining huge popularity and we love the one we designed in Tuscany, Italy.

Another HUGE trend for our clients in 2024 are “themed” welcome parties and after parties. For example, last year we did a couple of Western themed Welcomes, and a super fun After Party in PJ’s.

Another big, big trend for weddings in 2024 is the return of COLOR. Bright, cheery, and mixed palettes are happening everywhere in every season. And, the brighter the better!

Also, color is making it’s mark in bridal attire. Brides are loving wearing color over white for all of the extra parties and gatherings.

Also, a huge request is a “swag shopping room” in lieu of the pre organized Welcome Bags. Setting up a chic “shopping” space where guests can decide which snacks and swag they want is so fun. If you don’t like sweets, or don’t need branded toiletries, then you pick and choose. It’s a super custom way to customize your welcome bags.

Another trend we would like to say we are pioneering is making the tasting and planning part of the whole experience and documenting it. It’s been something all of our brides have enjoyed. Having a photographer on hand for this process allows you to capture some of these behind the scenes moments with family members or wedding party in a different way than over the wedding weekend.

Other huge trends we are seeing- lots of group activities and sports leading up to the wedding (including joint bachelor and bachelorette weekends a la Madeline Brockway); Niche entertainment requests at after parties instead of your standard DJ; New ways of documenting guests like charactature stations, or photo booth alternatives- we like The Collective You. And, even drone shows are going to be huge (looking at you Jordan Kahn).

What’s out for the year? We are seeing day after brunches traded in. And, where almost every wedding we did for two years straight had a blue color palette, color is replacing it.
