Get ready for a beautiful feature today. Courtney and Jamie married in the fall at Runnymede, just outside of Charleston. With sweeping river views, and a blank slate for us to create any look our clients can imagine, it’s one of our favorite spots. Courtney, who is an interior designer by trade, was a great collaborator. So, you can see many details that reflect her desire for a chic but on the more casual side- a naturally designed wedding . Tec Petaja is responsible for the lovely imagery.
Lettered Olive really captures the feel for the day with the paper pieces. For example, varying shades of green work together to create a depth to the printed items. And, various patterns and accents are perfect complimentary design details.
Natural jute totes with custom tags are given as welcome gifts. Guests receive local goodies including Charleston Benne Seed wafers, locally made pork rinds, and saltwater taffy. Our custom ER Kits have become a huge hit. They always include items that guests realize they wish they had with them, but often forget. Antacids, eye drops, and Advil, for example.
Courtney chose a Lela Rose gown with a patterned organza overlay. And, of course the couple’s Frenchie was there for the pre wedding festivities.
The simple but stunning ceremony featured vintage church pews, a billowy aisle canopy, and a wooden cross draped with greenery.
Of course, the Frenchie participated in the ceremony! Here, Lettered Olive designed a single card letterpressed ceremony program. But, to not take away from necessary space, a band containing a letter to guests from the couple goes around the paper.
Afterwards, guests gathered for cocktail hour on the lawn.
Cocktail hour featured many of our signature bars, our new custom oyster table, and passed items and stations by Cru Catering. One of these stations, includes an ice containers for shrimp cocktail. And, of course details abound with Lettered Olive paper tray liners.
We love the big reveal that this clear gabled tent offers guests.
But, before guests enter the tent, they stop for seating cards. Large greenery pieces are impactful without being chock full of florals.
We always like to ensure the head table has it’s own special details. Here, a large greenery installation offers a focal point in the large tent.
These table landscapes drew many oohhhs and ahhhs from guests. For example, evergreen velvet linens carry a weight and texture that are so luxe. Painted birch wood slices are table numbers. Gathered florals including green foliage soften the fall feel. And, one of our favorite details were the copper coasters written as place cards. Also, in addition to the rattan lights overhead, varying sizes of candlelight create ambiance in the tent.
The simple wedding cake by Jim Smeal features textured white icing with a delicate greenery accents. And, the grooms cake features an icing sculpture of the couple’s French Bulldog.
After dinner, the lounge part of the tent is revealed. Comfy white sofas are dispersed with bamboo loungers. And, we built a al fresco porch off of the back for guests to take a break in the evening and gather under the stars.
After dancing the night away with their guests, our couple departs to a fireworks display and sparklers.
