One of the biggest trends we’re still seeing with our clients is the after party. And we have seen some awesome after parties! That moment when dinner and traditional dancing wind down, but no one wants the celebration to end! We’re finding more and more couples wanting to give their guests that “second wind” moment with a completely different vibe.
The late night disco created for this couple is named for their dog, Luna. Love the custom neon sign! Asheville Flower Walls helped create a 70’s vibe. We also think our disco ball DJ booth takes the cake!
Dance floor props are literally the most popular thing at all of our parties… Can you believe it? Light up hats, glasses, necklaces, anything quirky and light up. For this couple, and their custom disco lounge, the namesake, Luna makes an appearance in the form of large cut outs for dancing!
Let’s not forget about late-night treats! We love passing elevated versions of everyone’s favorite comfort foods. And, you know packaging or combinations is important to us (details!). Here, soft pretzels, a favorite of the couple from the famous carts in New York City are served in trays in custom printed bags. Would also be so cute served with beer in little glasses! The food is a must, since it always hits the spot when guests work up an appetite on the dance floor and soaks up the alcohol!
A change of scenery and a change of outfit always makes for the best after party. Most of our brides opt for a second or even third “after party” look. And, a smaller more intimate space offers a way to keep the party smaller. What happens at the after party, stays at the after party, right???
If you are getting married in say your hometown thing about hosting the after party at your favorite unexpected spot from earlier days. Or, if you are hosting a destination wedding, find a famous local dive bar, or club.
Recently, in Nashville, our couple brought guests to the famous Doc Holliday bar on Broadway.
Of course, our groom has to get in on the action! Leaving a ten spot for good luck and many more years of celebrations together!
What are some of your favorite moments or experiences you have seen at after parties??? You can see more from some of our other after parties here.
