So, the new Martha Stewart Weddings is on newsstands now! It’s chock full of DIY tips and a great section on Expert Advice. Soiree’s Sea Island, GA couple, Megan and Clayton’s story was featured.
Then, as I was cruising around the Martha Stewart Weddings website the other day, I came across some of our Real Weddings that I wanted to share with you:
Tara had such a blast working the Martha Stewart team on this event in Franklin, TN last year. For all of you Tennessee brides, a great local photographer, Josh Reeder helped capture some of the moments of the day.
Elizabeth and Barton were so sweet and a joy to work with… they just welcomed a new daughter, Eliza to their family- Congratulations.
You can also see more photos from Megan and Clayton’s beach wedding here as well.
A Baby Soiree
Tara Guerard’s son, Myers Rast Guerard, was recently christened at their church, St. Philip’s Episcopal. Our lovely photog Adrienne Page was much obliged and came down to shoot the little shindig…
Family shot; our Southern Weddings cover model, Georgia, Tara’s springer spaniel; baby Myers all festooned
Myers and his Godmother, Cornelia; Brother Aiken Guerard; St. Philips Church
Aunt Amy and Myers; guest of honor; brother Aiken getting some love from Mama
The hubs and I at the party; Tara’s fun bar glasses; delicious spread from Hamby’s Catering
Puerto Rico Press
My husband and I happened to go to Puerto Rico on our honeymoon 4 years ago. So, I was thrilled to see this feature on Old San Juan in the June issue of Conde Nast Traveler (my most favorite subscription now that Domino RIP). Friends and clients are always asking for advice on great honeymoon spots, so I thought I would give a big endorsement for Puerto Rico. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton San Juan, which was amazing luxurious and directly on the beach, but Old San Juan is just about a 10 min jaunt by taxi. OSJ reminded me of a tropical Charleston or New Orleans with cobblestone streets, pastel Colonial buildings, and quaint little shops and restaurants. I love that they even showed a bride and groom on here…
There are tons of great travel deals to PR now, and another hotel that I’m wanting to try is the El San Juan. And it’s a short flight… happy travels…
