We had a really fun time designing our events for our Gorham’s Bluff, Alabama wedding back in May. We were involved in all of the wedding events, from the bridal luncheon, to the after rehearsal party, the wedding day brunch, and of course the big event! We wanted all of the events to have some uniting factor that made it obvious to those guests that would be attending every event that they were related.
The wedding colors were a coraly pink, peach, and grey, so for the luncheon we made it super girly with a hot pinky coral and silver accents.
We still brought in the little details like embroidered napkins that took a small pattern from the wedding invites- a nice token fro the bride to have afterwards for her home. The menus were all hand calligraphied…
Since the bride got embroidered napkins, we thought it would be fun to do embroidered cocktail napkins for each guest, which also double as their place card.
Ahhh, the things that we do for our clients. Tara and I were in the kitchen personally hand spinning the cotton candy our bride just had to surprise her girls with!
At least we had fun doing it…we had to sample some of course before it went out…
Everyone loved their surprise treat… a perfect ending to a perfectly girlie lunch.
Proud Planners…
We are always so excited to hear about all of our couples successes- whether it’s career related or starting a lovely family together. One our brides, Lee Boren, owns a hugely successful design store in Atlanta, Pieces, and has an awesome feature in the new LonnyMag. Be sure to check out her fab inventory and the magazine “piece” on her…
Tara’s Tidbits
Luckily, having our New York office gives me a chance to always be on the pulse of what’s new and fabulous… I found this little snippet in the new Town and Country and can’t wait to make an appointment to see their “all-white bridal” floor next time I’m up there…
