Aiken’s 4th Birthday

Happy Monday to you! Planning weddings for a living is fabulous…but getting to plan smaller events is a lot of fun too! I love doing birthday parties for my boys. It is so fun to see them come up with ideas for their own parties! Right now my oldest son, Aiken, is very into dinosaurs. (Total boy, right???) So naturally, when I asked him what kind of birthday party he would like, the dino decor became a must. We planned the party at a pool and had a full afternoon of sweet treats, swimming and extinct party guests. Here are a few pictures I was able to snap while trying to keep up with the kids! Hope you enjoy!

I cut dinos out of fabric and stitched them to a green linen for the display table

Cupcakes and Mini Ben & Jerry’s Ice Creams for dessert

Aiken and his friends “eye-ing” the sweets

It doesn’t take much to make a child’s birthday party sweet – they inherently are so special! Your boys are adorable. I love the cut-outs on the table linen. That’s a very versatile idea. Even a non-sewer could attach the cut-outs with iron-on hemming tape 😉

I always enjoy your blog; classic and fresh!

If you don’t have any plans for that wonderful dinosaur table linen, I would be interested in buying that from you for our parties! So stinking cute!!

Hi Corrie! Unfortunately that linen was destroyed with cupcakes and ice cream. Maybe I will do a how-to in an upcoming blog to show you how easy it is to make yourself!
