Sorry ladies… looks like the ultimate bachelor is officially off the market again! George Clooney married his girlfriend, British-Lebanese lawyer Amal Alamuddin in a beautiful ceremony in Venice on September 27th. While the wedding was a star-studded intimate affair (around 100 guests), it was filled with gorgeous details that are a great source of inspiration. The photos below are from the People magazine story in this week’s issue (out today!), so be sure to pick up a copy to see the rest. The photo above of George and friends arriving to the ceremony in classic Venetian style is from The Guardian. Now let’s take a closer look…
The Aman Canal Grande Venice was a perfect venue for the wedding ceremony, and we love the bouquets of white flowers hanging down the aisle. An emerald cut engagement ring was a classic choice for the beautiful bride-to-be.
Amal’s dress was by Oscar de la Renta, and George wore a tuxedo by Italian designer Giorgio Armani. Perfect choices for such an elegant ceremony.
The couple looks lovely standing with their in-laws in the photo above, but we couldn’t resist including a photo of George with Charleston resident Bill Murray. He’s even wearing the turkey feather bow tie that was in our bow tie roundup a few weeks ago!
Finally, a special photo of the couple’s first dance at their reception. Such a classically chic affair for a equally stylish couple. And we’ve only shared a small fraction of the photos… make sure to pick up your copy of People to see more of one of our favorite weddings this year!
