We are swooning over this engagement session of Caroline and Wyatt done by Perry Vaile. The bride had an affinity for the location after Perry suggested it having stayed there with her husband. Scroll to see the love, and learn how Perry gets her clients comfortable in front of the lens.
I asked Perry how she is able to get this sweet emotion out of her clients. “I had tons of emails with Caroline, as well as our continued long-running text ( filled with lots of exclamation points and emojis), but had never met them in person until they showed up for their portraits! My husband and I hit it off instantly with them (so well in fact I had to keep reminding our group we actually had to take photos! haha!) I love to ask questions as I shoot to get to know my clients better and to allow them to let their guard down a bit, and Caroline and Wyatt were quick to open up and get comfortable with each other in front of my lens. I always try to encourage clients that I’m photographing to not just look at the experience as a task, but to lose themselves in the beauty of the location, or to truly think about their journey with their partner as I’m taking photos. Not only does it allow couples to relax, but they’re in turn also able to make memories associated with the images which gives them far more meaning and a sense of authenticity than simply having them rigid, smiling for the camera. I just shot Caroline’s bridals last week and will also shooting their upcoming wedding.”
Thank you Perry for these amazing photos!
