Hostess Gift Guide

Grey ghost basket

Now that Spring is in full swing, the party season is too. At our recent trunk show, I had a couple of people ask what my favorite hostess gifts were, so today I’m sharing some ideas for you!

The above idea would be perfect if you have been invited to stay as a guest in someone’s home. A beautiful basket full of goodies (especially ones local to your hometown). Our basket includes Grey Ghost cookies (with custom Lettered Olive labels), a Candlefish candle, a bottle of bubbles, and a turkish towel (some of my favorites are here).

Our oyster shell salt and pepper cellars have been hugely popular and are back in stock. Wrapped in a pretty package, they make for an unexpected gift- you never knew you needed them, but you will use them at all your dinner parties!

I’m a huge fan of linen cocktail napkins, and you can never go wrong with gifting them. They make for a great completion to just a bottle of wine or liquor, and having them embroidered with something custom makes them meaningful also! Lettered Olive can make any design you wish.

Also, as a long time admirer of paper goods, a set of letterpress cards, a notepad featuring a customized or emblem that appeals to the hostess, or letterpressed recipe cards (which could be partnered with bottle of wine as a wine notes pad) would all be things I would be thrilled to receive… All by Lettered Olive.

Another entertaining must have is a nice cutting board. These are handcarved and made in my hometown of Camden, SC by Nicholas Blake.

We love learning about new ideas- what are some of your favorite hostess gifts? Leave a comment and let us know!
