Whether you are an avid “pinner” or not, deciding on bridesmaids’ attire can be one of the harder decisions a bride can make for her wedding day. We just wanted to share some of our favorite combinations or stylings from some past weddings that may help pull your look together.

We have had several brides carrying out the ombre trend in various ways from complementary tones to graduated tones in the same palette. This idea works great for brides that have a colorful palette by bringing in many of those colors. Above, our bride used shades of pale blue and lavendar, so the purple flowers worked against both tones.

For this feminine and sweet wedding at home in Charleston, SC pink was the color of the day. To keep the look more traditional for the ceremony, the ladies wore full length skirts over Little White Dresses. They all took these off for dancing at the reception. Of, course with shorter dresses the shoes are a showpiece, so these floral heels gave a nod back to the pretty palette. Dresses by Kate McDonald.

There is a big trend we have seen with our Dallas, TX brides in what is called a “house party”. These are special friends that act in the same way as bridesmaids, but don’t stand at the alter in order to cut back on space. But they often wear the same dresses or similar dresses. This wedding incorporated soft pinks and greys and was highlighted with fresh greens and white blooms. Grey dresses were chosen for the formal ceremony, and the house party were in pink floral frocks with grey hints. I love the idea of mixing patterns with solids.

I would love to see more of this concept, Dee Hutton Bridal co owner had a different dress designed specifically for each lady in a different pastel shade, and it all worked so prettily together.
