It’s Wedding Wednesday at the Bon Bon!  Today, I’m excited to share the beautiful “Eyelet Evening” wedding of Elizabeth and Barton.  The one question that I get asked a lot is, “Where do I get my inspiration from when planning my client’s wedding”.  So today, I wanted to share the one thing that inspired all the “beautiful eyelet inspiration” at Elizabeth and Barton’s big day.

The inspiration for Elizabeth and Barton’s wedding was taken from the eyelet wedding dress worn by Elizabeth.  We designed everything eyelet, the save the dates, invitations, plates, linens, lamps and curtains.  We even made eyelet umbrellas from leftover fabric for the signature drinks!  The inspiration you take from that one key element of the wedding and transforming it beautifully throughout, will make ever lasting memories for the couple and their guests.

Let me take you through all the beautiful details and hopefully inspire you along the way!

 

Elizabeth was a beautiful bride and here she is in her gorgeous “eyelet wedding dress.

We wrapped Barton’s orchid boutonniere with eyelet fabric. 

The handles on the bridesmaids bouquets were also wrapped with eyelet fabric.

Instead of the traditional flowers for the altar, we strung ribbons, orchids, and lanterns over an old oak tree limb to create an altar.  The breeze picked up during the ceremony and the ribbons swayed romantically as the backdrop. 

A delicate, ornate letterpress invitation suite wrapped in eyelet paper and ribbons was designed for Elizabeth.

Instead of using guest books, we made blank covered magnets and included directions for writing “wishes that stick” to Elizabeth and Barton for guests to attach to the magnet board used for the escort cards.

We decorated the same board with eyelet ribbons that held the magnet escort cards in alphabetical order.  A very pretty detail that entertained guests during the cocktail hour.

These are the eyelet umbrellas we made from leftover fabric from the linens and runners.  A very cute detail!

The tent was on the front lawn of a plantation and dressed with a blue liner, eyelet edging, and comfortable seating.  Eyelet lamps floated above the bar.  We used eyelet runners and eyelet bands on the linens.

We also used the eyelet design on the wedding cake.
