Giving back to the community is a big topic of conversation around the holidays. We love to see people in our industry trying their hardest to make a change or better a situation. North Carolina based photographer, Sally Siko of Silvercord Event Photography is doing just that! She is launching a nationwide tour with a goal of photographing 50 weddings in 50 states over the next 12-16 months. A portion of the proceeds from each of these weddings ($500) will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. With the mission to honor and empower Wounded Warriors, WWP is the hand extended to encourage warriors as they adjust to their new normal and achieve new triumphs. Offering a variety of programs and services, WWP is equipped to serve warriors with every type of injury – from the physical to the invisible wounds of war.

Amazing cause, right? We thought so! Through the 50/50 program Sally hopes to raise a total of $25,000 by her tour’s end!
