Waterworks

Hey Y’all! Hope you all had an amazing long weekend!

We are in our downtown Charleston office today anxiously watching the skies to see what Tropical Storm Beryl might bring us. Like all coastal communities, Charlestonians are acutely aware that hurricane season officially begins June 1st. What does that mean for wedding planners? Well, you make sure you are prepared, of course!

If you are doing an outdoor ceremony, you must have a back up plan. We always keep a tent on rain reserve just in case of inclimate weather. if your tent is walking distance away from your venue, you make also want to  keep some walkway tents on rain reserve as well so that your guests don’t get wet traveling to and from! We also make sure to have plenty of umbrellas on hand for guests and bridal party alike.

Ultimately, weather is the one wedding factor you can’t control! If you think a little rain on your big day would bring you to tears, you may want to consider hosting your soiree completely indoors. If you still go for outdoors, then keep these tips in mind and you will be singing in the rain! And don’t worry, umbrella pictures are still so cute! Check these out from one of our past weddings if you don’t believe us!
