Happy Friday! Today is fabulous because I am so excited to find out that my friend, Lydia Wherry, recently started a new venture in beautiful letterpressed goods and one of a kind hair accessories. Located right here in Charleston, Ancesserie uses Lydia’s family’s ancient letter press tool to make adorable calling cards. She also makes wonderful hair adornments for all occasions from everyday to weddings.  Lydia works with vintage European Millinery Adornments from the 40’s so all are unique pieces of art. Her recent trunk show at Worthwhile on King Street was a big success…Take a look at these lovely pieces and be sure to visit her website soon! They would make great wedding gifts or perfect attendant gifts for your bridesmaids!

Our good friend and photog, Liz Banfield, always throws the most creative birthday parties for her kids! You may remember her son, Grier’s, lion themed birthday party from last year that we featured on the blog! Well, this year Grier wanted a Pirate theme and Liz did not disappoint. Guests dressed up in the swash-buckling finest and had their photo taken in front of the custom back drop Liz made with wall paper from Schumacher.

They also took turns guessing how many gold coins where in the loot jar. The winner got to keep the treasure!

Of course, you would never want to get between a pirate and his cake! Love the hat, Grier!

These fun party ideas would be easy for anyone to recreate! Thanks for sharing, Liz!
