Happy Friday Y’all! While browsing through Country Living Magazine‘s February issue the other day we came across an article on these adorable kimono-style robes. We loved the bold patterns and light weight material! These would make an amazing gift for any bridesmaid. We would be thrilled to receive one! Plus you could personalize them by embroidering each maid’s initials on their robes. Use them while you are lounging around getting ready for the big day! Your maids will be sure to wear them afterwards around the house. Best of all, the article offers stylish options in several different price ranges. So whether you have 2 or 12 bridesmaids you will be able to find something in your budget! Thanks CL!

While on our latest shopping trip in NYC we happened upon an eye catching boutique. Instantly in love with their simple stone necklaces on beautiful gold chains, we had to stop in…and we are so glad we did! Eli Halili Jewelry and Design is decorated with old books and vintage finds, which artfully display their handmade pieces.

Eli’s designs are so elegant and simple for both men and women. We instantly fell in love with his artistic gold bands for men. We think these would make amazing wedding bands! Shimi, the sales associate, was so kind to let Liz Banfield snap a few pictures of the bands so we could share them with all of you! If you have any questions, be sure to visit their website or stop in the store on Mott St!

Happy Monday y’all! As promised, we wanted to share a few more images on the renovation project we are working on. Things are moving along quickly and (knock on wood) we are paced to be finished in April! So far the original pocket doors have been restored and laid into new tracks so they slide with ease.

Here our model, Jerry, is showing off the updated doors

We had several options for refinishing the original hard wood floors. Here is a sample of the floor unfinished, oiled, low gloss and high gloss. What do you think we decided on?

We decided to simply restore the floors by oiling them and letting their natural age and beauty show through. We were pretty happy with the results!

Keep stopping by for more updates! Also, if you love the handy work demonstrated on this job, we have to send the praise to Tupper Builders! Their team is amazing and we’ve really enjoyed working with them!
