Hi y’all!! Erin here- We are officially a week away from Christmas…are you finished with your shopping??? We are not even close! So if you are like some of us in the Soiree office then you will be wrapping presents right before the Big Man comes down the chimney. And if you are still shopping then there is no reason why you shouldn’t be shopping local! Don’t know where to go? No worries. Here is a list of just a few of our favorites. Hit these spots and you will have no need to check your list twice!

1) ESD

Tara loves the jewelry at ESD, but you can also find eclectic furniture and home decor. This is the perfect place to pick up all the hostess gifts you will need this season!

Location: 422 Savannah Highway

2) Mac & Murphy

This little boutique specializes in all things paper. Designs range from funky to traditional but all the products are top notch. If you have someone on your list that loves stationary you are sure to find a gift for them here!

Location: 74 1/2 Cannon St.

3) Vieuxtemps

Our friend Magda owns this King Street spot. Vieuxtemps easily has the largest selection of fine china, glassware and service ware. Not just for bridal registries! Make sure to stop in here and pick up a beautiful platter for that person on your list that loves to dress up a table.

Location: 180 King St.

4) Goat. Sheep. Cow.

A must for any foodie on your list. They have great wines, to die for artisanal cheeses, breads and a really friendly staff to help you make a selection.

Location: 106 Church St.

5. Poe’s Studio

This is where the cool kids shop! Pick up amazing clothes, unusual toys and even a few things for mom. We bought an assortment of knitted hats to give as presents to past clients who are having babies!

Location: 819 Savannah Highway

Been waiting for a “Wedding Wednesday” to share some fun images with you! Recently we went over to the always chic bridal boutique Maddison Row for a presentation of new winter and fall gowns. Who doesn’t enjoy fabulous fashion coupled with a glass of champagne (in the afternoon) and sweet treats from Sugar Bakeshop??

We always love what Lindsey and Elle pull for their looks, but this show was even more fun because they teamed up with Allison from Bella Bridesmaid to also show the newest trends in bridesmaids gowns! The ladies collectively paired each new bridal gown with their pick for a new bridesmaid dress that suited the gown. Gotta say, they did an excellent job!

Lindsey and Allison

One minute into the runway show and we got really excited about spring! The gowns are stunning and it seems like many designers are taking a whimsical approach to their new designs. It is very welcomed in our opinion! Of course, being in Charleston you can’t stop lace from being a top request for Southern brides. We saw plenty of beautiful lace designs in the new gowns!

Allison at Bella Bridesmaid has been super busy lately! With the closing of Priscilla of Boston, Allison lost many designs. Looking at that positively, she’s got literally hundreds of new bridesmaid dresses coming in daily! Particularly impressed with the amazing gowns from new designer Joanna August. We thought this airy Amsale dress would be perfect for one of our spring clients.

And for the bride that wants a “shortie” dress to change into post-ceremony, this dress (named Kiki) was too much fun. Love it!!

Both Maddison Row and Bella Bridesmaid will be super busy in the next couple of months with all new trunk shows. If you would like to get to one yourself (and we suggest you do) then check out the dates below!
