We are getting super excited about Charleston Magazine‘s Giving Back Awards Gala this year!

As you may know, Tara was selected as the “Creative Talent” award for her efforts in Darkness To Light’s Gala. In preparation for the event, every Thursday Charleston Mag is highlighting all of their recipients and telling a bit more about what they do! Loved seeing Tara’s work featured today. The article highlights all the many things she does for the gala and is so complimentary. Definitely very flattering!! We love being a part of Darkness to Light and everything that it represents. Wedding Wednesday-RSVP

Fashion Trend- Braids

Erin here wishing you all a happy Monday! Kate and I both share a morning ritual of watching The Today Show while getting ready for work. Great way to get the day started as well as it usually becomes the topic of conversations as we get into the office!

According to The Today Show’s reports this morning, braids are the hottest hair trend at the moment. So much so that entire salons dedicated to hair braiding alone! At John Barrett’s Braid Bar stylists are going way beyond the normal french braid with their amazing pleats! They report that a good braid can stay put in your hair for a couple days making it quite the easy style to maintain. As someone with long hair but absolutely no talent in fabulous braids, this is very exciting news to me!

Of course, Soiree brides are always ahead of the trends. Thanks to our skilled stylist, Kristy, our bride Hillary rocked the most beautiful braid for her nuptials in 2008. It truly made her entire look over the top glam! Here are a few pics for you before I get to the mirror and start practicing!
