Approximately 6 years ago, a local family I used to babysit for in college came to me to do their daughter, Shipley’s wedding…the girl that used to be 10! Of course I was honored, thrilled and excited to do it, but at the same time, it made me feel really old and a little sad….geez…what happened to time?

Last year, their other daughter, Kendall,  (who was 7!) got married and we have attached the feature from the latest issue of Charleston Wedding Magazine. They both have grown to be the most lovely adults, girls that would be my friend.  I can’t be that old….?!!

Even though there were no cell phones (car phones, but no one had a car) when I was in college, our computer lab had about 20 computers for the entire school, shoulder pads and green eye shadow looked fabulous on me, and we loved Edie Brickell. I miss the 80’s….and I dont want to get old and uncool!

I know, I know, we usually do Wedding Wednesdays…but I have too much good wedding stuff to share with you this week that I had to do create Married Monday as well! Nothing makes me happier than seeing our beautiful couples’ images in print in some fabulous publication. So I was over the moon excited to hear that the UK publication of Brides Magazine featured a 5 page spread on Jordan McLain wedding to Jason Padgett. We had such an amazing time putting together the details on this wedding…and of course, Liz Banfield captured all of those details perfectly! Here is the article, straight to you from across the pond!

Wow we heard some fabulous news today! The Frank and Lane Chairs, designed by Tara Guerard, are going to appear on several episodes of the Nate Berkus Show! We’ve followed the show for years now, and we are so thrilled they agreed to use the chairs. They must be great if Nate likes them, right?

If you aren’t familiar with the chairs, they make a a lovely complement to any event! We like to dress ours up with fun colors and cushions which makes them so versatile. The “Frank” chair has a dark finish and “X” back. With it’s coloring it goes really well with the farm table look many brides are requesting!

The “Lane” chair has a honey finish that keeps it looking natural. This chair is perfect for an outdoor ceremony because it is a bit more dressy than a folding chair but still very organic looking!

Best part about these chairs? You can buy them or rent them! If you want a few for your dining room table, just check out there website to purchase directly. But if you want to rent them for an event (and we suggest you do!!) then call up our friends at Snyder Event Rentals. Both of the chairs are in stock and ready to rent for the same price as a standard ballroom chair.

Be sure to tune in to the Nate Berkus Show at 9:00 am EST on September 21. 29, 30 and October 5 to see the chairs in action!
