So we just got our new copy of Charleston Weddings Magazine and we couldn’t wait to dig into the pages and see all the lovely details. We were excited to see an image of one of our past bride’s welcome bags in their feature on “Lowcountry Loot!” This got me thinking about all the fabulous welcome bags we’ve done in the past…there are so many! We like to come up with fun new totes to get away from your traditional “bag.” Here are some of our favorites along with all the goodies we like to include. What do you love to see in a Welcome Bag? We would love to hear your ideas!

An adorable basket was a different twist on a traditional bag

A destination wedding in Martha’s Vineyard inspired all the local treats!

Sunny colors from this wedding carried over into the Welcome “Tins”

Shoe bags did double duty for any guests looking to retire their dancing shoes after a long night!

I always love seeing emails from my friend, Liz Banfield, because they usually contain some gorgeous images! Sometimes I don’t allow myself to open them right away because I know I will spend an hour (that I don’t have) looking at every little detail. Well, this recent email was no exception! Liz recently put together a 6th birthday party for her son Grier at her studio…if I didn’t know she was a photographer I would’ve mistaken her for an event planner!! All the little details are so fabulous I had to share with all of you. Of course, Liz was behind the camera catching all the fun. Here are some of the adorable photos with all the vendor information in case you want to use some of her ideas for your pint size party!

Inspired by a wrapping paper Liz found at Paper Source, she designed an animal themed birthday party

The birthday boy!

To dress up the drinks, Liz covered juice boxes with some of the same wrapping paper!

Fun animal crackers were yummy snacks!

The kids all decorated their own crowns using some templates Liz found at Paper Source The stickers, pom-poms and glitter glue came from Jo-Ann Fabrics.

Guests played “Pin the tail on the Lion” for prizes!

A custom cake from Wuolette Bakery. Liz sketched out the design and provided a bit of the wrapping paper so they could match the unique shape of the animals exactly using colored fondant.

Make a wish!
