One of the things I really try to focus on is carrying the design throughout every aspect of a wedding. A good example of this is in our custom “Just Married” signs. A sweet send-off to the bride and groom is a perfect ending to a wedding, and often times, one of the things guests remember most! So I don’t like to let this detail fall by the wayside. Often times we collaborate with our sister company, The Lettered Olive, to create a one-of-a-kind sign that bring out the personality of the happy couple. I’ve collected a few images to show you just what I mean…take a look!

A classic Car with the bride and groom’s names on the sign

A beautiful border around the sign

More modern font in the colors of the wedding

Instead of a sign we did a custom flag! So fun!

The bride and groom’s silhouettes were used throughout the wedding and the sign was no exception!

A nod to the bride’s new last name…

Happy Monday to you! Planning weddings for a living is fabulous…but getting to plan smaller events is a lot of fun too! I love doing birthday parties for my boys. It is so fun to see them come up with ideas for their own parties! Right now my oldest son, Aiken, is very into dinosaurs. (Total boy, right???) So naturally, when I asked him what kind of birthday party he would like, the dino decor became a must. We planned the party at a pool and had a full afternoon of sweet treats, swimming and extinct party guests. Here are a few pictures I was able to snap while trying to keep up with the kids! Hope you enjoy!

I cut dinos out of fabric and stitched them to a green linen for the display table

Cupcakes and Mini Ben & Jerry’s Ice Creams for dessert

It’s “Fabulous Finds Friday” here on the Bon Bon Blog and I want to know…what do you think is fabulous??? I would love to hear what you think is new and fresh. To get your creative minds thinking…I will start you out with a find that I am loving right now! Charleston local Adam Fetsch is combining two of my favorite things, wine and candles, into a creative new green initiative concept. Rewined Candles partners with local restaurants to take their discarded wine bottles and use them as vessels for beautiful soy candles.

Adam customizes the labels on the candles to look like vintage wine labels. The wine varietal scents are all so amazing! I have the “Chardonnay” candle in my bedroom at home, and Erin in my office loves the “Pinot Noir.” We are collaborating with Adam in the fall to make miniature versions of these candles to go into guest bags of one of our couples who happen to be wine aficionados. How great is that?

Now it’s your turn. To get you involved, I will give away a copy of my book, Weddings by Tara Guerard, to the person who posts the most fun new find by next Friday.

Happy hunting! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
