This couple was such a joy as you can see shining through from their photos. We planned this wedding weekend (New Year’s Eve rehearsal dinner, New Year’s Day wedding) at Marlsgate Plantation in Arkansas from afar with only one site visit. Oh, and the groom was running for political office, the bride on the campaign trail with him and finishing up law school. Of course it all came together and couldn’t have been more perfect. Liz Banfield photographed this fete for us. Lettered Olive did all of the pretty papers.

Wedding Wednesday- Sweet Home Alabama

There are so many details from this wedding atop Gorham’s Bluff in Alabama, it’s hard to narrow them down. This sweet shindig has all the trademarks of a perfect Southern affair- seersucker, nods to favorite college football teams, cocktails (many many cocktails), bows, outfit changes (the bride had 3 dresses!) and lots and lots of flowers, all done in the chicest way of course. Liz Banfield shot this wedding weekend for us and Lettered Olive is responsible for all of the printed items, including the cutest flower die cut menu cards!!!

Wedding Cake Wednesday

Having a bit of a sweet tooth after this holiday weekend, so I wanted to share some of my favorite wedding cakes from uber talented baker Jim Smeal. Being an art school graduate, his cakes can truly be works of art! We always like to have fun with the way we display them… particularly in the last photo. The bride wanted a non traditional cake and had a small enough wedding that we had personal cakes made for everyone and built a clean, modern way to display them all!
