It seems as if couples may be reconsidering favors, many of ours are electing not to offer them.. But, I wanted to show you some of my favorites from the past in case you are looking for some ideas.

This bride carried on a family tradition. She brought us a matchbook that had a photo of her parents on their wedding day so we replicated that and used a “mini” candle from a local company, Rewind.

Most Charleston locals know about the South Windermere Antique mall. It’s a haven for mid century, traditional, and offbeat/funky items for the home. I’ve collected items for the Soiree office, my home, photo shoots, and many gifts over the years. They also have a sister store that focuses more on the high end traditional antique market called 17 South.   I wanted to show some of my favorite finds and they are just venturing into the social media world, so be sure to check them out! On Instagram: @antiquessouthwindermere and @17southantiques and Facebook (South Windermere and 17 South)

Way back when, I was a few years into my event planning business, I somewhat thew myself into floral design and decor by default. I had hired a local florist for one of my weddings and when they showed up with arrangements that I knew wouldn’t make my bride happy I decided to start doing them myself! And while I obviously love an abundance of flowers, sometimes greenery and leaves make for perfect design. There are so many places to use them- on their own or a compliment to flowers and often time they can be done for a fraction of the price!
