We are out in Aspen, Colorado for a site visit for our wedding there in August. Such a change of pace for our beachfront Lowcountry scenery, so I wanted to share some of my favorite spots out here.

We are staying at the Hotel Jerome this visit, which is also where the Friday Night Welcome Party and Bridesmaids’ Luncheon will be held. This stylish boutique hotel has grand touches but definitely feels warm and cozy.

While here we love dining on Sushi at Matsuhisa and dinner at Casa Tua. And Zeno restaurant is the location of the Thursday night wedding party.

The wedding will be held at the private Roaring Fork Club… We’ll of course post pics as we can during the event, since the venue itself is such a stunner the sky is the limit on how beautiful the wedding will turn out!

Summer Pool Party

Of course we love our brides and coming up with new wedding details, but sometimes it is fun to take a break and plan something different. We have been lucky enough to plan a past bride’s son’s birthday party every year. Each time there is a new theme and we have so much fun with it. Last year, for his 5th birthday we had a shark infested pool party complete with games, floats, and shark themed food. Summer is finally here, and this gets me ready to take on the next few months with the kids out of school! Southern Fete at Palmetto Bluff

A New York couple heads South to Palmetto Bluff for their nuptials, and we agree that it is one of the most special spots for smaller, more intimate affairs. Since we’re off to Palmetto Bluff again this weekend doing a wedding, we wanted to share some favorite shots from Lindsey and Josh’s wedding, which was featured in Martha Stewart Weddings.
