It’s Wedding Wednesday at The Bon Bon and today I’m excited to feature one of my lovely couples, Ellen & Alex.  They were married right here in Charleston on 06.26.10 at the Lowndes Grove Plantation. I’m also happy to share that their beautiful wedding was featured on one of my favorite sites, Completely Unveiled by Weddings Unveiled Magazine. Ellen & Alex’s beautiful wedding was filled with so many lovely details and the navy, yellow and white color palette was perfect on their beautiful summer day!

All of the lovely images were captured by Squire Fox Photography!

Happy Friday Y’all!  This has been a very busy week and I have to say, a fun week.  We were busy with a couple of photo shoots and tomorrow we have a wedding.  I’m excited to share with you that I have the pleasure of being featured on one of my favorite blogs today, Design Sponge, so please make sure you stop by and check it out.  Thank you so much Grace for the wonderful feature.

I’m equally excited to share that one of Soirée’s beautiful weddings, Meredith and Chad are featured in one of my favorite bridal publications, Weddings Unveiled.  It’s always so fun to see our work in print and the ladies at Weddings Unveiled always do such an AMAZING job with each issue.  Make sure you pick up a copy, it’s filled with a ton of beautiful inspiration for your big day.  Also, thanks to Liz Banfield for capturing Meredith and Chad’s wedding day.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

It’s Wedding Wednesday at The Bon Bon and it’s all about “The Details”!  Details truly make your wedding memorable…I love watching guests at Soirée weddings and events point out all the lovely detail elements and sometimes, I get to hear all the sweet comments that they share.  Opening my emails on Monday morning after a weekend wedding and receiving a heartfelt comment from the bride or her mother on how they loved all the “little details” makes my day everytime!  So, while you are in the planning stages of your wedding, don’t forget to think about how to incorporate the details that reflect you and the groom as a couple.  Here are a few of my favorite details from Soirée!

Table Numbers – Instead of the “table number” displayed on the table, hand calligraphed table number signs tied with ribbon are the perfect details for the table and we even dressed one up with Kermit mums, so darn cute!

Ribbons –  Oh, how we love ribbons at Soirée!  Here, we strung ribbons, orchids, and lanterns over an old oak tree limb to create the altar for our bride’s ceremony. During the ceremony, the breeze picked up and the ribbons swayed romantically as the backdrop.

And we carried out the ribbon theme on the chairs at the reception.

And of course, ribbons are just lovely for pew markers.  We hot glued a beautiful dahlia to these, so pretty and simple!

Boutonnieres – Every little detail matters on your wedding day.  We love to deliver even the smallest things in vogue.  Hand-tied boutonnieres with tags were distributed to the groomsmen on mood moss.

Signature Drinks – A great detail to add to your wedding.  So many brides want to pass out drinks to their guests before the ceremony and to make this a special element, we designed and packaged a glass bottle.  Each was filled with our delicious Soirée signature drink, low-country lemonade.

Drink Stirrers – Carry the signature element throughout the wedding.  Here, we found charming wooden drink stirrers and had the bride’s signature bird motif printed on each!

Place Cards -Dress up your place cards with elements from the “theme” of your wedding.  Here we used peacock feathers, as it was a key detail throughout the wedding.

Get-Away Signage – A perfect way to end the the wedding day and send the couple off in style!

I hope you’ve been inspired and remember – It’s All in the Details!
