When I’m in New York, I can’t miss a trip to see Hyman Hendler and his vintage ribbon collection. I always walk away stocked with one of a kind ribbons to use for my brides to complete their one of a kind bouquets! Here is a sampling of what I found this trip.

Today I’m sharing my top 5 choices from one of my favorite weddings trends to come along in years- the Little White Dress.  The Little White Dress is a must have for rehearsal dinners, reception dress, engagement parties, or even to take on the honeymoon for a night out. Wear it again on your 1st anniversary date!

The “Imogen” -part of the Alex Perry pre order on Moda Operandi, is my most favorite dress that I have seen in years! I’m obsessed.

This Chloe lace shift dress available at Barney’s can fit in any locale, season, and flattering on many body types, plus it’s knock down drag out fabulous.

Beatrice-Kate McDonald Bridal

The Beatrice, from local Charleston designer, Kate McDonald Bridal. The jeweled bib on this means some fab shoes and simple earrings would be all you need for a complete look!

I have known this bride since she was little (I used to babysit for her!) and we did her older sister’s wedding many years ago, so this was a special wedding for us.  The bride wore a dress that her great grandmother had worn so many years ago and was stored in the attic, there were a few minor adjustments made, but it’s amazing how the condition withstood the test of time That was really our inspiration behind all of the vintage touches, while adding in some modern freshness. All photos from Gayle Brooker, printed items from Lettered Olive.

We are usually blessed with a few truly perfect Saturdays in October here in Charleston, and this was one of them, so we were so lucky to play up the “secret garden” feel with seating vignettes throughout the garden at the Governor Thomas Bennett House. Food stations were also scattered throughout the garden encouraging guests to mingle throughout.

Since the wedding offered just beer and wine we wanted to make sure to pay some special attention there, so Lettered Olive designed custom wine labels and we affixed to every wine bottle (also used as part of the bar display)
