This couple hailing from New York City took over resort town Bald Head Island, NC with big city sophistication. The bride  knows a thing or two about throwing an event having worked for Creative Edge Parties, so we had a blast planning all the details of her wedding together. I loved the beautiful architectural elements her amazing dress by Junko Yoshioko and birdcage veil by Sara Gabriel brought to the table.

The famous landmark of the island, Old Baldy was a star of the scenery.

The ceremony was held at the quaint Village Chapel on Bald Head Island.

I love that moment of the bride and her father just before they walk down the aisle. What a treasure of a time for both of them to have before he presents her to start a new family. Whitebox Weddings captured the images of the day for them.

The groom’s and groomsmens’ boutonierres were fashioned from a single cotton boll wrapped in burlap.

The cotton blossom bouquets accented with berzillia berries complimented the slate gray and white color palette… Pops of bright orange were accented throughout.

The island allows few cars, so golf carts are the main mode of transport… luckily that makes for fabulous photos.

Having worked for a huge catering operation in New York City, the bride had an integral part of planning the fall menu.

The seating cards for dinner were flags planted in boxes of cotton blossoms. Tables were named after each of the couple’s favorite songs instead of numbered.

Dark fabric swathed the otherwise oversized and over white tent. This created a luxe intimacy that kept the seaside affair warm and comfortable but still had the aire of glamour.

Modern square place settings worked with the menus designed by Regas NY. Vases were wrapped with cotton muslin to provide a softer glow during the evening dinner.

The long tables were a favorite of guests that evening. Everyone felt as if they were at a dinner party they didn’t want to leave!

The big square bar we created adjacent to the dinner tables made for a perfect spot for guests to cozy up for a cocktail during dancing or to catch up with an old friend.

In lieu of a wedding cake, the couple offered individual banana puddings. Love this!

The reception area offered these amazing views of the coastal marsh.  For more photos from this wedding, head here to Weddings Unveiled where it was featured.

bride-and-groom

This sweet couple celebrated their marriage with a traditional Jewish affair surrounded by friends and family on Runnymede Plantation. We had worked with the groom’s mother on his sister’s wedding, and other affairs, so it was even more special getting to know these two as a couple. Navy, silver, and white was a great color palette for the time of year as they allowed for big impacts in creating a formal and traditional affair. All photos by Squire Fox.

Lettered Olive worked with the couple to create a custom monogram (both of their first names start with “J”), and a navy and white pattern to add dimension to their design.

runnymede-sign

Runnymede Plantation is one of our favorite Lowcountry event locations. There is a lot of space for us to create whatever we want for our clients, and jawdropping river and natural views. We designed this sign for the entrance to the plantation for easy guest traveling.

There were lots of special accessories for the bride.  We embroidered her bouquet ribbon with the new monogram; an heirloom handkerchief was embroidered and gifted to the bride, and she carried her family’s antique prayer book. For her something blue, the wedding details were embroidered to the inside of her dress.

bride-card

A custom card with the length of time they had been together accompanied the groom’s gift to the bride- I really loved this sweet sentiment.

Anenomes were the perfect bloom for the navy and white color scheme, and full and lush garden roses and ranunculus filled out a bridal bouquet.

This couple elected to do a “first sight” moment with the two of them before the ceremony.

A table was set with Yarmulkes and cards for guests to write wishes to the couple as they were waiting to be seated for the ceremony.

Large urns of magnolia branches fashioned in urns lined the aisle leading to the magnolia branch chuppa. A family piece was used to create the chuppa topper.

The couple and family celebrated the marriage with a traditional Bedeken ceremony after the wedding.

Tree branches made for a lovely and “natural” design element for the dinner escort cards.

cocktail-hour

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in living room sets overlooking the river banks.

The dining room was set with a glamorous vibe. Silver suede linens made for a cozy and upscale fall feel, and platinum banded china and crystal were a beautiful background for dinner.

The dining room glowed with a masse of candles… A Traditional Challah cutting took place at the head table.

The wedding cake and many kosher dessert stations were set and served throughout the after dinner lounge.

outside-lounge

An outside lounge was built off of the dinner and dancing tent for guests to enjoy dance breaks under the stars.
