Tara Guerard Soiree wedding by Liz Banfield

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, your first Christmas together as husband and wife! Look no further, we’re giving you some quick and easy ideas for last minute gift ideas if you’re spending the holidays with your new family- the “in laws”.  For the mother in law, we’ve given some gifting suggestions along with a couple of hostess gift ideas.

I’m a big fan of this cotton cashmere herringbone blanket (I have one of my own I received as a gift) from Elizabeth Joyce Monograms. There are so many custom monogram designs to chose from, so you can make this such a personal piece that will add to her home.

This book is full of classic dishes and not overly fussy recipes. This is a must have for any hostess and cookbook collector.

For the sister or brother in law-  create a custom scent from Candlefish, gift the softest and stylish pj’s from Lake, local cocktail crafters, Bittermilk have a variety of hand crafted mixers, and the Mophie keychain juice pack reserve offer everything for the dweller, to drinker, to techie.

I always find men much harder to shop for, but these items are bound to please the dads that already have it all. The Concave cutting board keep meat resting in it’s own juices to retain maximum flavor, a MUST have for the grill master.

Follow Bill Murray’s Oscar worthy lead and gift a Brackish Bow Tie… definitely not the traditional dodgey ties that dad’s don’t want under the tree!

For a recent wedding, we put locally made candles from Candlefish in guest Welcome bags, so I wanted to learn more about their candle classes and their products (focusing mostly on local or Southern made items).

They offer 2 hour candle making classes that would be perfect for a bridal luncheon or bachelorette party. The cost is $40 per person and you get 2 11oz glass candles (these are $22 each) that you personally pour and choose from 100 different scents.  You can also BYOB and snacks!

These candles in either silver, gold, or copper pots with marble toppers are divine. The Earl Grey (silver) is one of the best I’ve ever smelled! And how lovely to have out in your home?

We were loving the precious renditions of these classic novels.

There is much to appeal to the male counterparts as well- plenty of accessories (love this searsuckerish bow tie)
