It’s so fun when we get to step outside of weddings and design something festive for our clients. We headed to the Augusta, Georgia home of some of our former wedding clients, to help them host a holiday soiree swathed in candlelight, winter white flowers, and perfect party foods. Thank you to Adrienne Page for being there with us to capture all of the dets.
This wreath hanging trick ends up being such a lovely decor detail too- if you don’t have a nail or hook in your front door, wrap ribbon around the top and bottom of the wreath (so that you have it doubled over) and then slide through the top and bottom of the door and tie on the inside of the door.
For a festive touch on the pillar candles leading guests to the front door, we added loose jingle bells.
Luckily the temps hadn’t grown too frigid yet, so guests could enjoy some cozy seating outside. The willow tree was aglow with candle lanterns which made for the most popular hang out spot until the wee hours. That’s what this time of year is all about, gathering those who are important to you and savoring the time together.
Throwing a party in your home is truly my most favorite type of party. The key is to have it open and welcoming, turn on the lights, to use all of the space, and breakout your own linens, china, silver, etc that’s what it’s there for!!!
Miniature “Christmas” trees fashioned from fluffy white carnations and ranunculus perched atop the homeowners silver nut dishes made fragrant and perfectly fitting centerpieces displayed throughout the home.
Guests snacked on perfect holiday cocktail party food from Grand Mariner Souffle, to individual Rice Puddings (complete with mini jingle bells) and hot chocolates with tiny marshmallows.
