Grey Ghost and Lettered Olive

Have you heard the news?? Our own Lettered Olive has teamed up with Grey Ghost bakery to provide custom designed labels for their cookies and any special occasion you can think of. Grey Ghost cookies are made from scratch from age old family recipes right here in Charleston, SC!!!!! I LOVE their Chocolate Espresso and Lemon Sugar varieties but there are so many yum combinations!

It seems as if couples may be reconsidering favors, many of ours are electing not to offer them.. But, I wanted to show you some of my favorites from the past in case you are looking for some ideas.

This bride carried on a family tradition. She brought us a matchbook that had a photo of her parents on their wedding day so we replicated that and used a “mini” candle from a local company, Rewind.

In honor of the New Year’s nuptials, this couple sent their guests home with Good Luck in the form of stylized Black Eyed Pea containers.

We have all seen the Macaroon favors, but the packaging on these is just so darn sweet.

tara-guerard-sharis-berries

I often use Shari’s Berries as a resource when looking for the perfect favors for parties, so I was thrilled when they asked me to be involved in their #happyAface campaign promoting the spreading of joy and cheer through gifts and thoughtful gestures in the Charleston area. It’s so much fun to be part of this #happyAface movement to bring happy faces to Charleston, so I’m inviting you to join by using hashtags #happyAface and #swps in social media posts related to the things that make you happy! Shari’s Berries will be drawing names from those that used the hashtag three times per week and will be giving away their signature dipped fruit or treats. It’s a great way to try their delicious sweets if you haven’t already! In the meantime, I’m sharing some of my favorite Shari’s Berries goodies here in photos by Corbin Gurkin so I can hopefully bring a smile to your face today.

For starters, I really love their Gourmet Dipped Cherries… juicy and delicious (top left)! Next (top right) are their cake pops. Aren’t these perfect for Halloween?! Below the cake pops are their classic Dipped Strawberries in beautiful colors for fall, and to the left of those are my all time favorites, chocolate-covered Oreos! You can never have too much chocolate. Underneath the Oreos are yummy Handmade Sea Salted Caramels, and last but not least are the cutest little animal cake pops ever! Wouldn’t they be wonderful for a children’s party?

I love the idea of making Charleston a happier place, one face at a time. So join in the movement and post pictures of what makes you happy using the hashtags #happyAface #swps. You can happy a face with one social media post. I’m happying my Mom’s face this week with a box of giant dipped berries, and I can’t wait to see her face when she gets them! I promise… seeing a box of these delicious treats at your door will happy your face in an instant!
