One of our favorite things about planning weddings on the scale that we do is that we really get to develop meaningful relationships with our brides for many years to come. In fact some of them even ask Lettered Olive to create baby announcements for them when they welcome new additions to their family, as was the case with little “Tripp” in the photo above. We’re sharing a peek at the beautiful wedding we created for the Roys a few years ago (photos by Liz Banfield), and were thrilled to join them in celebrating this special time!

How cute are Tripp’s parents?! Such a lovely couple… this expression is what it’s all about! We’re sharing a few more details from this memorable wedding below. Enjoy!

We’re all about spreading the love at Soirée (it’s pretty much the point of what we do…!) so we thought we would share a few of our favorite wedding sites with you to inspire you for the week ahead. We know when it it comes to planning your wedding you can never have enough ideas, and wanted to shoutout a few of our picks. Enjoy!

Style me Pretty

Style me Pretty was created by Abby Larson in 2007 and is a beautiful source of inspiration for any stylish bride. We especially love the destination weddings section since beyond wedding inspiration it also serves as an ongoing list of places to add to our travel list!

The Bride's Cafe

Janie over at The Bride’s Cafe is a dear friend of mine and constantly serving up beautiful imagery and fabulous inspiration. Her floral gallery is to die for… check it out!

Charleston Weddings

Charleston Weddings Magazine is a staple here in the Lowcountry for any bride planning a wedding in this beautiful city. You would be in good company if you chose to have a destination wedding here, with more than 4,000 weddings in Charleston county last year alone.

Martha Stewart Weddings

You can’t go wrong with Martha. The entertaining guru has all of your big day necessities covered, but we especially love the etiquette advice such as “How to say no to a family member that wants to speak at the ceremony.” Important stuff!

Mindy Weiss

My girl Mindy Weiss is a event planner based in L.A. and has created some pretty incredible events since starting her company in 1992. Her clients run the gamut, but you may have heard of a few (Heidi Klum, Ellen Degeneres & Portia Rossi, Jessica Simpson, etc.) and we love checking out her blog for wedding trends and inspiration.

Brides Magazine

Brides magazine has always been a favorite and their website is chock full of gorgeous ideas and so nicely organized for easy searches. We love the fashion angle of this chic site… a great place to check out all the latest from Bridal Fashion Week!

Ritzy Bee Blog

Maria and Kelly do a beautiful job at Ritzy Bee, their D.C. based event planning company and their blog is an excellent combination of ideas both from own events and fabulous finds from other sites.

The boudoir photo trend is here to stay, and we love the idea of capturing a special moment as a wedding gift for your husband’s eyes only. Elizabeth Messina took the photos here, something she specializes in, and we think they’re pretty enough to frame. Art in and of themselves, any guy would be lucky to get these on his wedding day.

A lace curtain serves as a beautiful prop in this sultry photo. We like the idea of including special pieces, or a bit of your environment to help remember moments in time. And of course, it’s important to find a photographer who can take tasteful photos that will serve as a timeless keepsake.

Working in part of her wedding wardrobe, the bride wears her veil in this sweet shot. The white on white combination gives the look a bridal feel, and keeps it from feeling over-the-top sexy.

Location is an important part of a boudoir shoot, and while many photographer’s have studios you can use, we suggest working in your own space where you feel comfortable, or even booking a luxury hotel suite where you can pamper yourself afterwards.

What to do with your photos once you’ve gotten them from the photographer? We think your husband would love having an album of some of your favorites, but it might also be nice to frame some of the more artistic photos and put them in a private spot in your house such as your bedroom or bathroom. Thank you Elizabeth Messina for shooting our lovely bride! beautiful!
