I cannot wait to see the real photos from Elizabeth Messina from our wedding this weekend at Lowndes Grove. In the meantime I did manage to capture a few behind the scenes pics during the chaos of set up that I can share!
This is the entrance to the tent overlooking the Ashley River, where guests entered after the ceremony. Tents are so utilitarian looking, so I really try to add some softness or detail to them.
This location has so many beautiful old trees and water views. We really like to create little areas where guests can grab a drink and steal away to enjoy where they are.
Moss was a big design element for this bride, so we incorporated in areas where masses of it could make an impact, like this escort card display. This is one detail I know Elizabeth’s photos will be fab!
Ceremony arch (in progress) leading out to the dock where bluegrass and cocktails were served afterwards.
Partial garland ceiling before lighting was added, again bringing the natural elements inside the tent…
Our beautiful fern centerpieces that made it through the rehearsal dinner. I couldn’t bear to see them go to waste, so we can use them to fluff up spaces like restrooms or bridal dressing room.
Lighting for some of our outdoor seating vignettes- antique chandeliers hung from the knotty live oak branches.
Quick glimpse of the centerpieces!
A pile of cocktail hour pillows made from linen, so of course they needed to be ironed!!!!
Our custom monogram created by Lettered Olive that was used on some of the reception lounge pillows.
