Sorry ladies… looks like the ultimate bachelor is officially off the market again! George Clooney married his girlfriend, British-Lebanese lawyer Amal Alamuddin in a beautiful ceremony in Venice on September 27th.  While the wedding was a star-studded intimate affair (around 100 guests), it was filled with gorgeous details that are a great source of inspiration. The photos below are from the People magazine story in this week’s issue (out today!), so be sure to pick up a copy to see the rest. The photo above of George and friends arriving to the ceremony in classic Venetian style is from The Guardian. Now let’s take a closer look…

The Aman Canal Grande Venice was a perfect venue for the wedding ceremony, and we love the bouquets of white flowers hanging down the aisle. An emerald cut engagement ring was a classic choice for the beautiful bride-to-be.

Amal’s dress was by Oscar de la Renta, and George wore a tuxedo by Italian designer Giorgio Armani. Perfect choices for such an elegant ceremony.

The couple looks lovely standing with their in-laws in the photo above, but we couldn’t resist including a photo of George with Charleston resident Bill Murray. He’s even wearing the turkey feather bow tie that was in our bow tie roundup a few weeks ago!

Finally, a special photo of the couple’s first dance at their reception. Such a classically chic affair for a equally stylish couple. And we’ve only shared a small fraction of the photos… make sure to pick up your copy of People to see more of one of our favorite weddings this year!

The boudoir photo trend is here to stay, and we love the idea of capturing a special moment as a wedding gift for your husband’s eyes only. Elizabeth Messina took the photos here, something she specializes in, and we think they’re pretty enough to frame. Art in and of themselves, any guy would be lucky to get these on his wedding day.

A lace curtain serves as a beautiful prop in this sultry photo. We like the idea of including special pieces, or a bit of your environment to help remember moments in time. And of course, it’s important to find a photographer who can take tasteful photos that will serve as a timeless keepsake.

Working in part of her wedding wardrobe, the bride wears her veil in this sweet shot. The white on white combination gives the look a bridal feel, and keeps it from feeling over-the-top sexy.

Location is an important part of a boudoir shoot, and while many photographer’s have studios you can use, we suggest working in your own space where you feel comfortable, or even booking a luxury hotel suite where you can pamper yourself afterwards.

What to do with your photos once you’ve gotten them from the photographer? We think your husband would love having an album of some of your favorites, but it might also be nice to frame some of the more artistic photos and put them in a private spot in your house such as your bedroom or bathroom. Thank you Elizabeth Messina for shooting our lovely bride! beautiful!

Julia Lynn

We’re giving a special shoutout today to our girl Julia Lynn of Julia Lynn Photography, based right here in Charleston! You may remember our office and my home featured in Lonny last summer, photographed by this lovely lady, and we thought we’d share a few outtakes that weren’t included in the story. She’s a genius at lifestyle and interior shots – such a fun photo shoot!

Standing in front of the iron gate at my house that inspired these cocktail napkins from the Lettered Olive. How sweet is my pup Georgia?

A lovely shot of the entrance to our Soirée office in Charleston. I think it’s pretty appropriate that the office of a wedding planner is located on Chapel Street!

An antique wedding kimono hangs behind the seating area in our offices. The minute I saw it, I knew I had to frame it.

We love having brides come by to brainstorm and plan their weddings around our table. The antlers on the cabinet behind it were once used for a wedding centerpiece!

And here is the place where I spend most of my day. I’m such a visual person, so I love the mood board behind my computer that serves as constant inspiration.

With so many details to keep track of, it’s important that we stay super organized. Floor to ceiling files are the only way to do it!

And finally, a favorite photo of me and my sweet babies! Thank you Julia for capturing such a special moment. Happy weekend y’all!
