Summer in the Hudson Valley

Today, we share one of our favorite summer in the Hudson Valley weddings with you. It’s stunning setting, Troutbeck, is beyond glorious. And, we couldn’t have asked for a more idyllic weather. Troutbeck makes for a lovely weekend getaway for Manhattan based couples, and friends from all over (the groom and his family are Argentinean). Thank you to Jose Villa is responsible for the lovely imagery. See more from this wedding here.

One of the many main benefits to hosting a destination wedding, is that you can have everyone get ready together for the day. And, of course everyone can meander throughout the property or main hotel all weekend and interact.

Here, the bride carries a sweet nosegay of Lily of the Valley. And, boutonierres are of white Scabiosa.

Everyone loves the wedding welcome bags that Lettered Olive create for us. Here, heavy wax canvas “lunch” bags are perfect for guests wanting to take their goodies poolside or out on a picnic. For example, local Saratoga Spring Water, hand iced “trout” cookies, and other snacks and goodies are personalized in custom packaging.

Guests meander the property to the secret garden and the ceremony. Also, white parasols are perfect for guests to shield themselves from the sun. And, ceremony programs by Lettered Olive feature a watercolor illustration of the main Troutbeck house.

White wildflower blooms line the aisle for a very bridal touch. Also, oversized galvanized planters filled with greenery and branches provide a statement, but still a more natural alter.

I still love seeing the look on the groom’s face when he sees his bride enter for the first time.

The bride wears a stunning sheath by Carolina Herrera.

After the ceremony, the guests gather on the front lawn for al fresco cocktail hour. Don’t you think it’s just the picture of summer in the Hudson Valley?

Here, a Soiree signature bar is one of the main decor focal points. Umbrellas feature custom edging by Boutique Tents. And, custom printed fabric by Lettered Olive.

Another special touch for our “glamorous rustic” wedding design, are our custom wooden plank floors. And, to soften the wooden touches, gauzy fabric walls make a sailcloth tent into a dreamy dinner.

The crisp neutral palette is balanced by live greenery ceiling installations, for example.

I love how the cake table linen turned out. A custom printed fabric top matches the cake designed by Nine Cakes.

After a big dinner, we like to get guests up and our of their seats. So, guests move into the ballroom for dancing and late night food. Because, you can often see a lot of the band’s chords and equipment in the first dance photos, we like to hide as much as we can. So, our favorite way to do this is by using a stage partition. Sometimes this is done with florals or greenery, but often with fabric. Here, the stage partition features more custom printed fabric in our after party color palette.

This bustle! One of my favorites of recent.

After dancing with their guests into the evening, the couple departs to a sparkler send off.
