My favorite wedding detail has to be the paper, the invitation. There is nothing more anticipated than when you receive an envelope with beautiful calligraphy. As you open the envelope and begin to pull out the invitation you can’t help but smile and think about the couple in love and what their day is going to be like.

My favorite wedding detail is Liz Banfield Photography! No digital cameras and her ability to create the perfect moment inspires me! Her Valentine’s Day Card of the Bald Head Island wedding was perfection!

A picture of the father/bride dance~~you can see the tears and tenderness in my husband’s eyes as he hold his baby girl for the last time~~

My favorite wedding detail is the monogram/logo, because of the personalization and meaning. I get excited about the creativity that comes about just from learning about a couple’s personality, likes, and what inspires them.

  6. I loved the die-cut menus that looked like flowers with the leaf name cards at each napkin. Brilliant!

Anything that’s personal and truly reflects the couple. For example, my grandfather and I share a love for gardening and unique roses. He passed away last year, but I will have lots of roses in honor of his memory. My fiance and I were engaged in Charleston, and we plan to marry there. Most of our guests are from out of town, so we plan to provide them with “local” gift baskets full of trinkets that reflect the Lowcountry and maps that will lead them to our favorite spots around the city.

My favorite detail of a wedding is when the bride and groom look into each other’s eyes right before they say “I do.” When I imagine my own wedding, I know that will be the most important thing. My husband and I have gone through a very rough deployment, and when I look into his eyes in front of everyone I love I’ll think back to how long I wanted to be with him and say “I do.”

There are so many fun details that go into planning a wedding! It’s really hard to choose, and now I am distracted by the pretty picture above…so I am going to have to say from a purely selfish standpoint, I love the shoes! I always love when the photographer snaps a great shoe shot!

MY FAVORITE wedding detail issssss: An antique piece of Jewelry that would be handed down to a bride from a loved one.

  11. I love, love, love your fabulous back bars and tenting details. Although, my favorite of yours is the white iron greenhouse inside the reception tent with the bride and grooms initials in flowers. Stunning. All of your work is stunning.

My favorite wedding detail is ceremony decor! its been so fun finding ideas and things that will enhance the ambiane and vintage feel of our wedding!!

  13. Zelda Simes says:

My favorite wedding detail is the ambiance created by the ceremony and reception decor.

  14. Mary Keller says:

Beautiful flowers are my favorite detail. I have a copy of your first book and love it!

My favorite wedding detail is “something borrowed” for me this something borrowed inspired my whole wedding. I have borrowed a vintage brussels lace wedding veil that has been worn by most of the women in my family. This vintage cathedral length veil inspired my entire vintage style wedding. I have a vintage milk glass collection that will serve as centerpieces, vintage handkerchiefs will be wrapped around the bouquets and a vintage styled invitation. I can’t wait to see it when it all comes together in late May.

My favorite wedding detail is the kiss. They just announce you husband and wife and you get to kiss and I usually feel like at that exact moment they are happier then they have ever been. I love the couple that go in for two just because they get so excited they want to do it again. I actually did a very tiny little jump after and didn’t even know it until I watched our wedding video.

My favorite wedding detail is the look on the groom’s face when he first sees his bride. It is an indescribable moment in time.

  18. Ashley says:

I have to say I love all the little details that go into creating that special day for two souls joining together in front of all their loved ones. So for me the most important detail is for it to be captured on super 8mm film to be enjoyed for a lifetime!!!

  19. I love the detail of using textures for flowers. Instead of classic roses, we seem to see a lot more “greenery” in the bouquets and especially in the boutonnieres. They are using in feathers and crystals in the bouquets and not just flowers, but lots of texture. LOVE IT.

  20. Diana Martin says:

I absolutely LOVE details! This goes from the bouquets to the aisle runner to ceremony decor to the reception centerpieces and etc.! When the colors come together, the couple’s theme comes through, and their ideas for personalizing their wedding because of their love for each other and their likes, the details really come through and you can tell that they really thought about it all. And when they have a brilliantly talented photographer (and videographer) that can capture every little detail at its best lighting and angle… LOVE IT!

  21. As wedding coordinators, we love the moment after sitting down with the bride & groom, listening to their story, envisioning their dream wedding, drawing up the blueprints of every idea they have plus details they’ve never thought of to create their most fabulous day…then presenting it to them and watching their faces as they see their dream come to life on paper!
